The MP Control plugin comes from IRSS.
Due to changes in MP, the version of MP Control which was compatible with MP 1.12 is no longer compatible with MP 1.13.
If you don't use the MP Control plugin then you can simply disable it (in the plugins section of MediaPortal Configuration) and the message will go away.

I think this problem is something specific to your system and/or a quirk of W10. Certainly the withdrawal of WMC has nothing to do with it. Any software should be able to wake a PC regardless of whether WMC is installed or not.
Have you checked whether it makes a difference if you use standby/sleep instead of hibernate?
